What is XPS? XPS (extruded polystyrene) insulation board, is a kind of good insulation material, which is a high quality foam product characterized by smooth skin with a closed-cell structure that looks like a mass of uniform bubbles with common walls between them. There are few, if any, voids between the cells, top and bottom skin. Features of XPS Comparing with other traditional insulation materials, such as EPS, PU and Rock wool, XPS is improved in insulation, moistureproof, compressive strength, durability, convenient installation and low cost. As an ideal material, XPS is widely applied to heat preservation and insulation systems, moistureproof and obstruct systems, with promising potential market.

Mineral wool, called rock wool sometimes, is divided into rock wool and slag wool normally. Slag is the main raw material of slag wool. Rock wool is produced mainly using igneous rock, e.g. basalt, dolomite, etc. As a kind of very good heat preserving, heat insulating, cold insulating and sound absorbing material for various industrial equipments, traffic facilities such as pipelines, storage tanks, boilers, heat exchangers, fans, vehicles and vessels, as well as various buildings, mineral wool is widely used in industrial sectors such as national defense, petrochemical, construction, metallurgy, cold storage, traffic, etc, particularly the construction industry. In developed industrial countries, consumption of mineral wool products in the construction sector accounts for more than 80% of their production, and in Japan, even up to 90%. Due to energy-saving requirement from protection to the earth, demand for mineral wool products has been still increasing.

EPS, Expandable Polystyrene, is a lightweight plastic foam insulation material produced from solid beads of polystyrene. When manufacturing EPS products, tiny beads of polystyrene are expanded and consolidated in the process of steam heating and pressure treatment. When heated, the expanding agent enlarges the beads as much as 50 times, after which they are fused by pressure into huge blocks of EPS or into different shaped products by moulds. These blocks and shaped products bring lots of benefits to the construction and packing industries. EPS products can be used not only as insulation material in roofs, walls and ceilings, but also as packaging materials for food, electronic equipments, home appliances etc.

Sandwich panel is fabricated by metallic facings and insulation materials (polyurethane foam, rock wool, polystyrene or others), which is an ideal combination of physical, mechanical and construction properties. The strength of sandwich panel lies in modularity, low weight, high degree of prefabrication, insulation properties and cost efficiency, which is necessary to manufacture roof and wall panels for industrial workshop and warehouses.

Continuous PU Sandwich Panel Production Line is used to produce polyurethane or phenol sandwich panel with colored steel facings. Compared with EPS and Rock wool, Polyurethane has better insulation performance. The capacity of the production line is higher. Discontinuous PU Sandwich Panel Production Line consists of Press Machine and High or Low PU Injection Machine.  Compared with continuous line, it is of economical investment. The size of Sandwich Panel can be designed according to the application.

Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, in short as AAC, is a new type of light weight, multi-cells construction material. The features include simple in processing, fast in construction, low density, heat insulation, processibility, earthquake resistance and sound resistance properties. AAC is made from silicon material (silica sand, or recycled fly ash and silica gangue) and calcium material (lime, Portland cement), mixing with a small quantity of foaming additive (aluminum powder). The main raw material is fly ash or silicon sand. Fly ash is main waste from electricity power station. Up till now, AAC is the best choice to replace clay brick. It will dig too much clay to produce clay brick to destroy the earth terribly.With abundant air cells and micro apertures inside the aerated brick, it has good performance of heat insulation and preservation. In addition, the most prominent advantage is its plasticity. Due to the lightness and the lower hardness, AAC units are available in numerous shapes and sizes according to the real construction usages and customer’s requirements. From the manufacturing processing and application with good insulation, AAC is a kind of green building material.
