The reboiler process is the traditional formaldehyde production technology. After absorbing all kinds of reboiler processes at home and abroad, and making process, equipment and automation optimizing, Kaimao technical team makes its optimization. During 1990 and 2010, Kaimao Company has built several hundred of these formaldehyde plants.
The advantages include the stable technology, simple cooperation and less investment. The production capacity is 60TPD-200TPD. The concentration can be flexibly adopted during 37%~ 42%.
Air, after filtering, washing and heating, comes to mixer. Steam via filtration comes into mixer. The circulation off gas from the top of absorber 2#, after heating, comes into mixer. The methanol liquid after filtration comes into methanol reboiler, the methanol liquid –gas mixture from the reboiler comes into methanol evaporator, after liquid-gas separation in the evaporator, the methanol gas comes into the mixer as well. The technology uses steam to heat methanol, having evaporation.
The above four kinds of gas, after complete mixing in the mixer, gets the last filtration and then it comes the methanol reactor, having Redox reaction and getting formaldehyde gas. The formaldehyde gas from reactor includes steam, nitrogen, oxygen and hydrogen etc, it needs the next absorption to get formaldehyde solution.
Two independent absorbers have been set in our formaldehyde process. After complex absorption, heat exchanging, we can get products of formaldehyde solution. In addition, the off gas is discharged from the top of absorber 2#.
Part of the off gas comes into the off gas roots blower for circulation. Other parts have been put into furnace for burning, getting steam with all kinds of pressure.
